Acura NSX features an innovative new multi-material body design with world-first material applications and construction processes in keeping with the legacy of NSX the world’s first all-aluminium supercar. The 2017 Acura NSX was built to be powered by electric and hybrid which is the newest technology in the automobile industry by offering a viable alternative to car engines.
The 2017 Acura NSX was introduced last week at the North American International Auto show in Detroit. Talking of hybrid; this is most often gasoline-burning machines which use their electric bits to collect and reuse energy that normally goes to waste in standard cars.
During the launch in Detroit, the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Acura Division, Mike Accavitti, says the intention of the company to design the car is to create an all-new NSX, a supercar that will deliver a new driving experience where every part of the vehicle is respectful of the smartest part of the car and the driver.

The car low dashboard features exposed aluminium structural components covered by padded, black-and-red-stitched leather panels and a TFT instrument cluster is nestled behind a highly sculpted steering wheel with flattened upper and lower sections. The ultra-thin-spoke wheels measure 19 by 8.5 inches in front, 20 by 11 inches in back, and are wrapped by 245/35 and 295/30 Continental Conti Sport Contact tires. Tucked behind them are six-piston front and four-piston rear callipers clamping carbon-ceramic rotors.
In all the Acura cars, the body panels of the new NSX are made of aluminium and SMC (sheet-moulding compound), and they include a flying-buttress-style C-pillar that drops about halfway down the body side to accommodate the gaping engine-air intake. The company used a space frame design-an internal frame constructed of aluminium, ultra-high-strength steel and other advanced materials.
Anchored by a carbon fibre floor, torsional and bending forces are taken up entirely by this ultra-rigid structure which also uses advanced joining technologies. The car has been optimized to concentrate vehicle mass low and toward the centre of the vehicle, to further enhance dynamic response. The combination of this package with the lightweight body gives the Acura NSX the lowest centre of gravity in its class.
